or is it just me. The fact she is black isnt an issue with me at all..nor the fact she is a woman..anyone know what im seeing that just is out of place or maybe even just plain wrong??

this sort of thing pisses me off.....would he kiss a male member of his staff....would a female president kiss her staff???

i'm surprised he's not handing her a bunch of flowers...that pisses me off too *L* when women are singled out for bouquets

condi was bushys right hand man..err...person so it seems right that when his right hand isn't working he busses (it ain't no real kiss fer gawds sake) his right hand so to speak.

I think my biggest problem with the kiss is this..sure its a harmless peck..but i see it as being wrong in that a handshake will do for everyone else..why did he feel the need to kiss her cheek? Are they that close? I know Europeans do it all the time..but hey..we dont live in Europe and dont share the same customs. She is a high ranking official and a woman. In her present postiton i dont see her needing to be treated as a fragile person it wont help her in her dealings with others at all. BY ol georgie smooching her it made me think..are they close? was there a reason he appointed her..I mean hell..I never saw him kiss Colin on the cheek..did any of you?? And if it were an accepted practice i expect to see him kiss everyone on the cheek.. [img]smile.gif[/img] I think it showed that A) she is a woman
B) it could be taken as a strange show of affection
C) a sign of weakness on her part maybe even tho its a respectful form of greeting to a loved one

I dont know the whole episode just made me feel uncomfortable with her being in the place she is in. I havnt seen any pics before of our president kissing anyone other than maybe his wife or children and thats where he needs to keep his lips.. A handhake of a pat on the back was all Ms. Rice needed in my opinion. Just showed a bit too much familarity for me. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
